How much can solar save me?

How much does a new solar installation cost?
New installations are priced at $3.25 per watt plus applicable state tax. Because we size the system from your actual kWh usage, you see the full price, the 30% federal clean energy credit and your net cost before anyone visits your home.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We arrange $0-down solar loans through our lending partners with 12, 20 and 25-year terms. For most customers the monthly payment lands close to or below the utility bill it replaces.
How long until the system pays for itself?
Most homeowners break even in roughly 7 to 12 years, and faster if you use more electricity than average. The installation quote page calculates your payoff time frame from your own usage, with and without the federal tax credit.
Do I have to remove panels for a new roof?
Yes. Our removal and putback service takes the array down, stores it safely and reinstalls it so roofing work can happen without voiding equipment warranties.
What does solar removal and putback cost?
Removal only is $100 per panel, removal and putback is $250 per panel, and solar collector removal and putback is a flat $3,500 — plus your state's tax. You can price it instantly on any of our county removal pages.
Will my insurance cover panel removal and putback?
Often, yes. When a roof is being replaced under a claim, removal and putback is frequently a covered line item. We provide itemized documentation you can submit to your carrier or adjuster.
How does the removal schedule work?
We remove the panels a day or two before your scheduled roof replacement, store them safely, seal every penetration with weatherproof sealant, then return the day after roofing is finished to put the array back in its original position.
Is the reinstallation warrantied?
Every putback carries a 6-month warranty against leakage at our penetrations, and our work is performed so your panel, inverter and roofing warranties stay intact.
How often should panels be serviced?
We recommend an annual maintenance visit: cleaning, torque checks, inverter firmware and a production audit with a written report. Maintenance is a $350 service call; micro-inverter or optimizer repairs are $150 each, and materials are usually covered by the manufacturer.
